Skif Griffin II is a new-generation version of one of the most popular models in Skif’s 400 series.
Its purpose and functionality remain unchanged: a practical EDC knife equally well-suited for everyday tasks and active outdoor use.
The blade is crafted from upgraded 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, which offers improved hardness and corrosion resistance thanks to its higher carbon and chromium content.
Its geometry blends a Drop Point profile with a smooth S-shaped recurve. The flat grinds begin one-third down from the spine, while the added swedge enhances the blade’s stabbing capability and gives it a more aggressive look. A lengthened cutting edge ensures excellent slicing performance.
Depending on the model, the blade features either a Stonewash or Black Stonewash finish, which gives it a matte appearance and effectively hides scratches and wear marks — even with frequent use.
Opening is handled by both a flipper tab and a thumb stud, providing multiple options for rapid deployment. The flipper also serves as a finger guard during forceful cutting. A ball bearing pivot system ensures smooth and reliable action.
The blade is locked in place with a solid and secure Frame Lock, one of the most trusted locking mechanisms used in folding knives.
As part of its generational upgrade, the Griffin II now includes additional jimpings — not just on the spine and handle, but also on the flipper tab and lockbar — for even greater control and operational comfort.
The handle scale is made of textured G10, offering a firm grip even in wet conditions or while wearing gloves. The deep-carry pocket clip can be removed if preferred, and a lanyard hole is provided for alternative carry setups.
Skif Griffin II is a refined update of a fan-favorite, blending aesthetics, ergonomics, and rugged reliability in one versatile tool.
