Skif Sting Folder is a completely new model that was developed and released in 2019. Name “Sting” is caused by the design of this knife generally, particularly blade.
A Drop Point blade is made of 8Cr14MoV steel, which is almost identical with popular Japanese steel AUS-8A. In comparison with 8Cr13MoV, 8Cr14MoV steel contains more chrome, which means good corrosion resistance.
Flat grinds go directly from the spine, providing wonderful cutting abilities. Stonewash finish is a good protection from scratches; depending on the model it can be black or white. There are two ways of pushing the blade open – a thumb stud and a flipper tab.The blade opens very smoothly, thanks to the ball bearing system, which is one of the main advantages of Skif knives' new generation. The Frame Lock provides a reliable lock up to the blade when in use.
The scales are made of G-10 and available in three different colors: black, orange, and green. Handle also contains a lanyard hole and a pocket clip. The SKIF Sting will be suitable for everyday carry or outdoor activities.
